Welcome to Honor Strings!

What is Honor Strings?
Honor Strings provides elementary age students with their first orchestral experience. Through a variey of music literature, students will gain an understanding of how to play in an ensemble. Honor Strings meets once a week after school from January-June.

Any student in grades 3-5 is welcome to try out for the orchestra the first week of December. Audition material is provided to the students during class and must be prepared on their own. Private lessons are not required but are strongly recommended.

Students who are accepted into Honor Strings have special opportunities such as playing in an orchestra competition, taking a trip to Knott's Berry Farm, and performing in an outdoor concert in downtown Manhattan Beach.
