About Mr. Mollick

Dan Mollick is in his eighth year of teaching and has taught elementary, middle, and high school students. Originally from Ohio, he started playing the piano in the second grade and the cello in the fourth grade. Mr. Mollick also played trombone and euphonium in his high school marching band and was a member of the Canton Youth Symphony.

Mr. Mollick began teaching in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he directed string orchestras and taught cello classes at the award winning Ramsey International Fine Arts Center. Mr. Mollick then served as a middle school orchestra director in the Bloomington Public Schools for three years before moving to California. He has taught in Manhattan Beach for two years.

A performer as well as a teacher, Mr. Mollick was a member of the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Minneapolis, and Grand Avenue String Quartet. He majored in music at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa and is working on his masters degree at the University of Michigan School of Music during the summer months.

Mr. Mollick has many interests and hobbies. He enjoys reading, especially books about history. He runs and also enjoys riding his bike along the ocean. Mr. Mollick also enjoys hiking and learning about our local environment through nature books.
